Welcome to the JT Journal

At JT Outdoor Products, fishing has always been about more than what happens when a fish hits the net. It’s about the preparation, the people you share the water with, the lessons learned along the way, and the constant drive to become a better angler.

That’s what the JT Journal is all about.

We created this blog to give you a closer look at the people, products, techniques, and experiences that make up JT Outdoor Products. It’s a place where we can go beyond a quick social media post and dig deeper into the stories happening on and off the water.

More Than Just Fishing Stories

You’ll hear directly from our JT Pro Staff as they travel the tournament trail, break down the techniques that helped them find success, and share what they learned along the way.

We’ll also dive into the details behind our rods—from how and why certain models were developed to choosing the right rod for a specific technique. We want to share the knowledge that goes into the equipment we build and help anglers get more out of it once they hit the water.

Expect tournament recaps, fishing tips, technique breakdowns, new product stories, behind-the-scenes content, and plenty of experiences from anglers who simply love to fish.

Built Around the Fishing Community

JT Outdoor Products was built by anglers, for anglers. Our rods are designed with input from people who spend countless hours on the water, then hand-built right here in Farmington, Minnesota.

That connection to the fishing community is a huge part of who we are, and the JT Journal gives us another way to share it.

We also want to hear from you. Tell us what techniques you want to learn more about, what JT products you'd like us to break down, and what stories you'd like to see featured.

There is always something new to learn in fishing—and always another story waiting to be told.

Welcome to the JT Journal.

Fish harder. Learn more. Be Legendary.
