Operations Supervisor:
JT Outdoor Products is looking for a Supervisor to manage the day to day operations of our growing business. In this role you will be managing the day to day operations to keep production of rods and other JT products moving in a fast-paced environment.  You will work directly with leadership to develop and implement plans to increase production and manage to tight timelines. You will work directly with retail clients to consult and provide recommendations for product mix. You will manage staff and motivate the team to meet or exceed goals. This role has unlimited potential to grow and change based on level of knowledge and ability to meet timelines and production schedules.
Job Responsibilities included but not limited to: Â
- Manage day to day operations employees
- Assign daily tasks and set production goals for each employee/work area
- Manage performance reviews for each employee
- Manage schedules to cover workload. Be able to adjust based on fluctuations in market
- Understand current orders to set plan for daily work
- Understand the build process from development to completed product
- Know the rod building process and aspects of each part of the process
- Understand product cycles and lead times
- Manage supply chain
- Manage componentry inventory levels
- Understand levels of components needed
- Know and manage lead times of components with multiple vendors
- Order componentry within specific lead times to avoid production gaps
- Inventory Management
- Keep up to date information on current inventory levels of completed product
- Understanding of inventory levels to produce work plan for upcoming demand
- Update website with current inventory
- Customer Service / Relationship Management
- Understand product line-up and use of each product
- Be able to discuss product options with customers
- Provide lead times to customers on product delivery
Qualifications:
- Must work with sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure but adhere to tight timelines while maintaining quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to put work plans together
- Set and manage weekly production goals
- Self-starter with ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to take feedback and adjust quickly
- Must be able to motivate staff to meet or exceed goals
- Must be willing to roll up sleeves and during high volume times work longer hours
Preferred but not required:
- Prior experience managing employees
- 1-5 years of experience in supply chain or operations management or similar field dealing with production
- 4-year degree in Business Management, Operations Management or a like field
- Passion for fishing industry
